Ego Solus Ipse

 

This work of mine entitled “Ego Solus Ipse”, (Solipsism, from the Latin solus (solo) and ipse (same), "only himself") consists a series of images where a visible and recognizable subject is inserted in an indefinite, alien, or otherwise confused context.
That is to say a separate unit in an unconscious reality that characterizes it as being an egocentric self. The ego is a solus ipse, an individual monad centered in a world unknown to us that cannot be identified precisely because it is a reality created as a moment in which solipsism triumphs and the gaze is centered on one's self as the sole master of the process of constitution.

Ego Solus Ipse

 

Questo mio lavoro dal titolo “Ego Solus Ipse”, ( Il solipsismo, dal latino solus solo e ipse stesso, "solo se stesso") si compone di una serie di immagini dove un soggetto visibile e riconoscibile è inserito in un contesto indefinito, alieno, o comunque confuso.

Vale a dire una unità separata in una realtà inconscia che lo caratterizza come essere un io egocentrico. l'io è un solus ipse, una monade individuale centrata in un mondo a noi sconosciuto non identificabile proprio perchè realtà creata come un momento in cui trionfa il solipsismo e lo sguardo incentrato sul proprio sé come padrone unico del processo di costituzione.
