It’s with that that an eccentric town fisherman “Quint” (Robert Shaw) decides to offer up his services of finding and killing the real shark that’s responsible for the killings. Detail is stunning, from the wrinkles and sideburns of Quint’s grizzled face, to clothing weaves, to sand grains on the beach to edges of Brodie’s jeep as he drives to town; everything is keen, tight and sharp. You just can’t get that on iTunes. The movie is that much clearer the close ups are true 4K material. Jaws in its debut to 4K UHD Blu-ray earns itself every bit of a perfect 5 rating for overall audio quality. Combining in a perfect storm, a young, on form, enthusiastic director, a failing prop forcing invention, a tight script, excellent performances and that score and you have a film that once seen is never forgotten. There was always a bit of a dullish cast - even on the latest Blu-ray. This Dolby Atmos mix is truly amazing and by far the best this film has ever sounded.
